This is a set of two lidded nimono-wan (or zoni-wan, shirumono-wan) from the Showa era (early to mid-Showa period). They are hand-painted with maki-e (decoration only on the top surface of the lid; the underside of the lid and the bowl are plain). I inherited them from my grandmother and have been storing them, but I have no use for them, so I am offering them for sale. I would like to sell them to someone who understands that they are old items. Quantity: Set of 2 Color: Vermilion (reddish vermilion) Design: The top of the lid is decorated with plum blossoms and birds in black and gold. Size: Diameter approx. 12.7cm, Height (including lid) approx. 8.8cm Condition: * Due to hand painting, there are slight individual differences in the patterns. * There is little sign of use, and there are no cracks or chips. * As they are old items, there are distortions and minor scratches due to aging. * Sold as a set of 2.
