We have pursued a simple structure, designing it to be thin, lightweight, and minimize the risk of failure, making it easy for anyone to handle. The method of use is also extremely simple: it is wrapped around the subject's legs or arms* and secured with Velcro to exert restraint. *Wrap and tighten through the loop. This restraint belt is designed with the assumption that the subject will be monitored and guarded in close proximity after being restrained. While it does not provide the same speed as metal handcuffs or restraint zip ties, it can be used without specialized knowledge and provides secure restraint.
