I bought this to avoid leaving marks on the wall when installing a baby gate. In the end, I decided it wasn't necessary, so I haven't used it. I think it can be used in various ways, such as placing it under a desk or chair to raise the height, or between the wall and tension rods. The white part is plastic, and the gray part is made of silicone. I think it's easy to wipe clean if it gets dirty.
