Camellias are evergreen trees of the Theaceae family, and have been popular since ancient times. From autumn to winter, they add color as garden trees when few other flowers are in bloom. Their blooming appearance is beautiful, and their petals flutter down, making them a charming traditional Japanese flower. This camellia is a handmade cloth flower, created by cutting petals and leaves from pure white fabric, dyeing them, and shaping them with a flower iron, as if bringing a flower to life from the hands. The multiple layers of dyeing may result in fraying threads and variations in color, which should be appreciated as part of the texture of the cloth flower. Each piece is hand-dyed and handmade, making it a one-of-a-kind item.
