They were awarded a Royal Warrant, having also made riding boots for Her Majesty the Queen, and the warrant pattern is printed on the insole, although it has faded. The quality and construction are evident from their use in the first ascent of Everest and supply to the military. The fine-grained, high-quality leather and the very fine stitching are excellent; it's true that old leather shoes were of high quality. In terms of design, these are perfect for those who like JM Weston Golf, Paraboot Chambord, or Berwick 4477. The fitting is slightly smaller than a standard UK7, and the instep is designed to be low, so they are also recommended for those who find the high instep design of the Chambord unsuitable. Although they have aged, the uppers, insoles, and soles are in good condition, as you can see in the images, with little wear and tear. OLD HAWKINS are not often seen in the used market. Beautiful items are even rarer, so please consider them if you are interested.
