Thomas is facing left, so you can see Flynn running around inside the set. ◼️ Flynn has a metal pin hanging down that interlocks with the automatic switch, which is also included in later released Plarail sets, so any Flynn can be linked with the switch. ◼️ The biggest gimmick of this set is the switch for the road and rails of the automatic switch. The trigger is set to activate only when the internal magnet reacts to Flynn's hanging metal plate and lifts part of the mechanism. In other words, only Flynn can operate the switch. Each time Flynn passes, it either sends Flynn straight ahead or switches the switch for a short time to change its course to the other side of the road. It's a wonderful set!
