This is a large Western-style plate (cosmos) from Kiyoshi Kiln, Tobe ware. The design is painted using the "brushing" technique, which was developed by Hiromi Yamada, a traditional craftsman, after years of research. It can be used for pizza, appetizers, or a single-plate meal. I believe the retail price was 8800 yen. It is a new, unused item, but it has been stored at home.
