This is a masterpiece in the "Hoko" (仿古) style, modeled after ancient Chinese bronzes (Shang and Zhou dynasties). The body is intricately decorated with the **"Tohtetsu-mon" (饕餮文)**, believed to be a symbol of warding off evil. The design of the two handles (beast ears) is also very substantial, creating a dignified atmosphere as an interior decoration for the tokonoma (alcove) or entryway. There is natural aging (discoloration and slight rust) due to the passage of time, but it is in good condition and can be enjoyed as the "charm" of an antique or vintage item.
