The continuous pattern of flowers and dots drawn in deep cobalt blue on white porcelain has the clear color and depth unique to genuine cobalt, giving it a delicate yet dignified presence. The rim and the well of the plate are both decorated, making it a beautiful design whether used for serving or display. The back of the plate is marked "Made in German Democratic Republic," indicating that it was manufactured before 1989, during the East German era. Diameter: Approximately 19cm This is a perfect size for a dessert plate, cake plate, or side plate. Purchased at a flea market. There are very fine scratches typical of vintage items, but no cracks or chips are visible.
