These are not pre-distressed; the color fading was achieved through real wear and tear. I must say, it's a fantastic piece. I was able to achieve an incredibly cool fade. I wanted to replicate the realistic vertical fading of vintage denim, so I paid close attention to how often I washed them, hand-washing them with denim-specific detergent [BEYONDEXX] and taking great care of them. *There is some damage to the hem because I initially wore them without folding the hem to create wear marks. However, it should be fine if you fold the hem.
