They are highly praised for their rich flavor, depth, and delicious taste. About the feed: We use fresh groundwater (water quality tested) for drinking water. We are particular about using domestic, additive-free feed, and we mix our own feed with rice, wheat, rice bran, soybeans, oyster shells, fish meal, etc., and ferment it. Especially, fish meal is an important nutrient that affects the taste of the eggs, so we use fresh, additive-free, made-to-order bonito fish meal sourced from Kyushu. While it is common to use fish scraps from farmed fish, we use only bonito, which is a high-quality product. It has no fishy smell and tastes delicious. In addition to these feeds, we give them plenty of our own cultivated vegetables and green feed, which is natural green grass. Green feed contains a lot of natural vitamins and fiber, which has the effect of keeping the body slightly alkaline, making them less likely to get sick and grow strong. My chickens do not have their beaks trimmed※, so they can peck at hard things like potatoes and pumpkins during the winter when green feed is scarce. They especially love pumpkins and bamboo shoots. ※ We do not administer any antibiotics, vaccines, or other medications for disease prevention or treatment, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind. About washing eggs: The eggshell is protected by a membrane called the cuticle layer, which guards against the entry of bacteria. We recommend washing the eggs just before eating.
