Width 5.2 x Depth 5.2 x Height 6.5 (cm) 2. Width 5.3 x Depth 5.3 x Height 5.7 (cm) This is "HOUSE" by Katsuya Ogita. It is a three-dimensional glass artwork using the cold cast technique. Cold casting is a method of filling a plaster mold with glass fragments and firing them in an electric furnace to melt them together. The rough texture of the plaster skin is left on the surface of the work, so it doesn't look like glass at first glance, but the light accumulates inside the glass mass, creating a unique expression. The expression changes in various ways depending on the intensity and angle of the light, and this characteristic is most prominent when placed in natural light. Judging from the biography, it is from before 1994, and since the Special Exhibition '96 of the Suntory Museum Prize in 1996 is not listed, it is believed to be an early work. The box has a label for MA'GLA' STUDIO and was made in the studio in Uchinada-machi, Kahoku-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture. Please check the photos.
