These are two of the first bottles of Oronamin C, manufactured and sold by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in 1965. They were stored for a long time in the warehouse of a local beverage store that went out of business 30 years ago. The caps of Oronamin C have changed from crown caps to screw caps, and then to pull-tabs. These bottles are the crown cap type, and the manufacturer's mark on the bottom indicates they were made between 1965 and 1969. The beverage store purchased a large quantity of crown cap bottles from empty bottle collectors, peeled off the paper labels, and then applied "Baby Cola" labels to sell them as original drinks. While many of the first-generation bottles were stocked, very few bottles have relatively intact paper labels. These bottles were returned by consumers, so they have been washed, but there are still some age-related stains, scuffs, dings, and damage to the paper labels that could not be removed due to their age.
