I thought it was lacquerware, but there's no indication, so I can't be sure. I received it as a gift for a celebration, and it was useful for occasions like when guests came over, Children's Day, birthdays, etc., for things like chirashi sushi. However, as my family has grown up and moved out over the years, it's been in storage at home. It's sturdy and beautiful, but I noticed a small chip during the photography (photo 6). Please consider this with the understanding that there may be unseen scratches from long-term storage.
