Yanagisawa Flute Headjoint This was purchased used, and the details of the manufacturing period are unknown. In my subjective opinion, it has a richer volume and resonance compared to silver. Compared to gold, I feel it has a complex resonance with a certain roughness, rather than smoothness. Cracks occurred in the tubing twice, and I requested repairs from the manufacturer, but both times they reoccurred on the same day. After that, there was no sign of the cracks expanding, and I didn't feel any impact on the sound. After that, the cracks on at least the surface of the tubing were repaired by a craftsman who specializes in crack repair. Separately, there is a crack in the crown as well, but I believe it has little impact on the sound, so I have left it as is. If you are concerned, I think it would be better to have a new one made in a shape that is less prone to cracking, rather than repairing the crack. At the very least, the manufacturer's handling of natural materials is below amateur level, so I recommend requesting repairs from a different craftsman. The price is set considering the cracks. Please purchase with the understanding of this point. While I do not guarantee that there will be no problems in the future, it is currently usable without any issues.
