The outer leather uses "Chateaubriand" from the prestigious French tannery, Dupuy. It has a softer touch, unique firmness, and beautiful grain compared to regular box calf. The unique semi-aniline finish, with a small amount of dye and pigment added, allows you to enjoy a transparent and beautiful color and luster. The gold corner hardware is based on the decoration seen in travel wallets made in England in the 1930s. At that time, sterling silver was used and carefully secured with pins, etc., and this series incorporates that detail in gold as an accent.
