This is not a common 4-way circuit, but rather a design that adds a push-pull switch. With a 4-way switch, it can be unclear which position you're in while playing, and there's a possibility of selecting the wrong position. However, this circuit adds a push-pull switch to the tone control. When pushed, it functions as a standard 3-position setup, and when pulled, it forces a series connection. For example, you can pull the switch for a solo to get a powerful sound, and push it back in for backing to instantly return to the position you selected before the solo. Cross-wire is used for the wiring. The capacitor is not the standard orange drop, but a beautiful vintage tropical fish capacitor from the 70s-80s. (Orange drop capacitors are also available for an additional 500 yen, including replacement labor.) * Regarding installation: This is a completed circuit, so all you need to do is solder the + and - wires from the pickups, the + and - wires to the jack (approx. 20cm), and the string ground wire connected to the bridge.
