This is a black Moto tag. It is a new, unused item with the battery insulation sticker still in place. It is a smart tracker, the Moto tag, which is the same size and has similar specifications to Apple's AirTag. It supports Find Hub, which is installed on Android 9 and later, and supports BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and UWB (Ultra-Wide Band). As of September 2025, this is the only Find Hub smart tracker that supports BLE and UWB. It is IP67 waterproof and dustproof. It can accurately track locations in areas where people walk, such as busy shopping districts and cafes, where movement is not too fast. However, the tracking accuracy seems insufficient in areas where there are only cars. As of September 2025, it has not obtained technical conformity certification, so it is for research purposes. Ideally, I would like to sell it to: ・People who own Android 12 or later devices: There seems to be a bug in firmware version 2.0.19 where the battery indicator is incorrect and shows a low battery warning after about a month. It is recommended to update the firmware via the Moto tag app, but the Moto tag app seems to support Android 12 and later. ・People who have My Number card and My Portal: These are helpful when applying for the special exemption system for experiments using non-certified devices to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, making it easier to avoid illegal status.
