I handcrafted a tote bag from a pale pink Nagoya obi, using a patchwork of the embroidered flower sections and the plain sections. Since it's made entirely from the obi, it's sturdier than usual, but still very lightweight. The pale pink background and pink cosmos flowers complement each other beautifully, resulting in a sweet and elegant, yet cute, bag for adults. A stiff interfacing is used for the outer fabric. The lining is made from white Yuki-tsumugi fabric. The embroidered sections have a silver thread in the background. The understated yet beautiful gradation of pink cosmos embroidery is lovely.
