Yamabiko's Song by Kyuzo Sasayama This is a text I studied in a cram school for junior high school entrance exams when my children were in 4th and 5th grade. We read it in Japanese class and answered questions. Even if you don't take the entrance exam, I feel it's important for children to read many different texts during their childhood.
