This is a video work of Bryan Ferry's solo live performance in Paris in March 2000. It features standard numbers from his solo album "As Time Goes By," released the previous year, which covered old musical and other standard songs, along with original Ferry and Roxy Music numbers, seamlessly and beautifully performed. The performance by a jazz band including veteran musicians who participated in the album, along with a classical string quartet and five beautiful female musicians who also played harp and percussion, is superb. It makes you keenly aware of the brilliance of Ferry's original songs, which are in no way inferior to the standards. And, above all, the highlights of this DVD are the last four songs: Avalon, Jealous Guy, Let's Stick Together, and Love is the Drug. The audience is on their feet for the last two songs. Although the running time is short at 60 minutes, the content is incredibly fulfilling, making you want to watch it again from the beginning.
