[Material] Fuji Hinoki Single Board ☆ Both sides are knot-free, so you can use either side. ✩ One corner is beveled for easier lifting. [Advantages] ✩ We believe that a [non-coated] cutting board is best, so we've hand-planed the surface to achieve this. The chamfered areas are also finished using well-sharpened blades. We plane it first, wet it once to raise the grain, and then plane it again after drying, minimizing the grain raising caused by water during use. Also, the end grain, which is usually difficult to plane, is also hand-planed. This allows water to drain away in the shortest amount of time without causing grain raising or sanding scratches, minimizing wood degradation due to water absorption. ✩ We predict the direction in which the wood will warp and consider the blade contact, subtly shaping it with a gentle R-shape to match the wood's individual characteristics.
