I remade a *tsukesage* kimono I bought at a recycle shop. It's a beautiful purple color. It has a pure and elegant hand-painted peony design. The colors in the photos aren't perfect, but the close-up photo is closer to the actual color of the design. I think the color of the purple is closest in the photo showing the lining. I noticed when taking the photos that there was a stain on the right side of the *doudai-bukuro* (body bag) surface. The lining of the *nagabukuro* (long bag) is fabric from a *nagajuban* (long undergarment) that I bought as a bolt of fabric at the recycle shop. It has some discoloration. The lining of the *doudai-bukuro* is the lining of the same kimono. There are some sewing marks and creases that couldn't be removed. I think there are almost no stains. The photos show a Tsugaru shamisen inside. The shamisen is not included. Here are my personal thoughts... When a shamisen rests, the sound becomes muffled, but I feel like it gives a good sound the more you play it. But, I feel like if I store it in a silk *nagabukuro* and *doudai-bukuro*, it will give a good sound from the first strike. (*^^*)
