It uses genuine leather. Recent leather boots often have injection-molded soles, but these are made using the traditional method of sewing the leather upper to the sole. The size is listed as 25cm, but it seems like it could fit a 25.5cm foot. The tongue is gusseted, but to reduce costs and weight, the sides of the tongue are made of thinner leather. The sole is not the Vibram Montagna used for mountaineering boots, but the Roccia sole often used in Tyrolean shoes. This makes it lighter, but the grooves in the sole are shallower. There is almost no wear on the sole at the toe and heel. Considering the thickness of the leather, these are suitable for non-snowy seasons. They have been used about twice. There are scratches on the toe area, which are common for leather boots, but they are only on the surface and should not affect use.
