Ichinohe Hyōe August 2, 1855 (Ansei 2, June 20) - September 2, 1931 (Showa 6) A Japanese Army officer. His official rank was Army General, Senior Second Rank, Order of the Chrysanthemum, First Class, Second Grade Merit. He held positions such as Inspector-General of Military Education, Military Councilor, and Commander of the 1st, 4th, and 17th Divisions. After retiring from the military, he held public offices such as President of Gakushuin University, Chief Priest of Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Chairman of the Imperial Reserve Military Association. He became the Chief Priest of Meiji Jingu Shrine in August 1924 (Taisho 13). He performed the ceremonial first pitch at the completion ceremony of Jingu Stadium on October 23, 1926 (Taisho 15) (with the Regent and Prince Kan'in in attendance).
