"Our Shetland combed tops are loved by hand spinners, felters, and manufacturers of the highest quality textile products using the finest Shetland wool. The wool used for Shetland combed tops is hand-selected each season from the finest wool, taken from the neck and shoulder areas of the sheep. The wool is carded (coarsely combed) and then combed (finely combed) to separate the long and short fibers. Combing aligns the fibers in parallel, preparing them for spinning.
