It was well-received last year, so I decided to offer it again this year. It's a gorgeous piece with colorful butterflies woven on a black background. Chenille weave has a slightly fluffy, raised surface like velvet or chenille, giving it a warm appearance. The butterfly parts are embroidered with gold thread, making them sparkle beautifully (^ ^) It's a slightly thick fabric with a firm texture. It's suitable for tying styles that hold their shape well, such as Ginza Musubi or Otaiko-style knots. This obi looks warm, so having one in your fall/winter wardrobe will broaden your coordination options and be quite convenient.
