Vintage rug hand-woven in the Anatolia region of Turkey. It's a sizable 248cm x 133cm. Features refreshing blues and a vanilla cream color. The threads are dyed with natural dyes extracted from plants grown under the dry wind and sun, and are carefully woven one stitch at a time. Botanical motifs symbolize life and prayer. The soft, faded tones blend into the space like a watercolor painting, exuding the gentle depth unique to well-used fabric. The wear, color irregularities, and occasional repair marks are like "signatures" left by the weavers. The weaving culture born from the nomadic tent life has been passed down in each household. 【Meaning of Weaving】The patterns are imbued with meanings such as health, abundance, family love, and prayer. Flowers and vines symbolize vitality, and diamond shapes may represent "eye protection (Nazar)." 【Dyeing and Color】Natural dyes extracted from pomegranate skins, walnut shells, indigo, pomegranates, onion skins, etc., are primarily used. Over time, the vibrancy fades, creating a gradation like a painting. 【Value of Vintage】The wear, color fading, and repair marks over time are the unique charm.
