Three Rivers Stadium served as a multi-purpose venue for both the Pirates and Steelers from 1970 to 2000. PNC Park opened in 2001 as the current home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Heinz Field, now called Acrisure Stadium, also opened in 2001 and is the current home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
