【Product Description】 This is an overcoat from the 1940s-50s, originally adopted by the French Army's motorcycle units. Due to its use in harsh conditions, the coat is rare, and even more so in deadstock condition, increasing its value. It's a vintage item with historical significance. To protect against rain and wind while riding a motorcycle, the coat is made of tightly woven, thick cotton canvas. The fabric develops character the more it's worn, making it a rewarding piece to own. The back of the front buttons, the aluminum buttons for attaching the lining, and the buckles on the cuffs and waist belt are all stamped, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail of an item from over half a century ago. As an overcoat, the pockets are pass-through. Overcoats often have a somewhat baggy silhouette, but the raglan sleeves allow it to fit well on Japanese body types.
