I don't know if it's color fading or pencil marks used for marking. Since this fabric doesn't seem to have a distinct front or back, using the reverse side should be fine. (It's not on the back side) This item has been stored at home for a long time. There may be some other minor stains. If you don't mind these things, how about using it for handmade projects?
