I drew this with the motif of lemons, a specialty of Hiroshima Prefecture. This is the small square size. Painted with watercolors on Mermaid paper. From the name "Mermaid paper," I imagined mermaids, and created a picture of the original character, Lala the mermaid, and her sea slug friend, Rele, who got lost in the Seto Inland Sea and encountered local specialties and scenery.
