This is an offering of: Alnico 2 Rod Humbucker Cream, Neck position only These pickups are made using an old automatic winding machine inherited from a craftsman who has supported Japanese pickup manufacturing for many years. Instead of a bar magnet, these are "humbuckers that are like two single coils placed side by side," using rod magnets used in single-coil pickups. In humbucker mode, they sound more like a thick single-coil, and in coil-tapped mode, they have a single-coil tone. The resistance is high, but this is because we use a thinner coil than commonly used coils, and we wind more of it, which tends to increase the resistance.
