The name Takumar might seem unusual, but it's a prestigious lens brand named after Takuma Kajiwara, the younger brother of the PENTAX founder, who was a photographer and painter. This model is an improved version, equipped with "SMC (Super-multi-coating)," which realized the world's first multi-layer coating. Especially, color reproduction is a characteristic of this generation, and you can feel a different color rendition compared to before SMC. However, the resistance to backlight itself doesn't change significantly, and it's a quirky lens that allows you to enjoy flashy flares and ghosts as usual. I have prepared some sample photos taken with this lens. The first half is night snapshots in Sangenjaya. I tried to make it look good with chocolate mint ice cream, but it's too chocolatey and doesn't look good... It's a cool triangular back alley, but there's a large light bleed, resulting in a flashy depiction like an effect was applied. Things that aren't lit up are captured faithfully, so you don't have to be too concerned, but it has a strong quirk. This might have its uses. During the day, the sun also produces large flares, but the depiction in direct light is clear, so this also seems to have its uses. Except for being sensitive to light sources, it's a Takumar-like depiction that doesn't disappoint. This is because the rear lens group is stuck and the cloudiness in the part that cannot be removed no matter what is causing the light bleed. The exterior also has scratches from use. Actual shooting has been confirmed. As a compensation for the damage caused by trying to remove it, I have included a mount adapter for SONY αE mount, so it can be used with E-mount cameras like α7 without any additional items.
