The wax used to maintain the balm's shape has been minimized, and most of the oil components other than wax are composed of high-viscosity oil and paste oil to create a comfortable, soft feel with moderate adhesion to the lips. Amino acid-based paste oil blends the lip mask into the lips, and the moisture-retaining oil holds moisture.
