This is a beautiful Stefano Bigi regimental tie with a subtle sheen and a red base. I purchased it a few years ago at BEAMS for approximately 18,000 yen. Red ties, often worn by American presidents and others, are used with white shirts to project strength and power. I also wanted a red tie to give a strong and energetic impression during presentations, but I found it difficult to choose the right shade of red, as overly bright reds can sometimes look a bit… well, like a comedian's tie. When I consulted with a friendly BEAMS staff member, they brought out this tie from the back (it was still in its original packaging!), and when I tried it with navy and gray suits, it was exactly what I was looking for, so I bought it immediately. This tie has a subtle sheen, and you can tell at a glance that it's a high-quality tie. It creates a V-zone that's not too flashy but still has a touch of elegance. When paired with a white shirt, it picks up the white stripes, creating a well-grounded look, and it also looks great with a blue shirt, as the navy stripes blend well with the shirt. As you'd expect from a brand carried by BEAMS and many other select shops, it's easy to create a dimple with a single knot, and it holds its shape all day long. (I love that feature, and now about 60% of my ties are Stefano Bigi^^) Thinking about it, a good red color, a tie that incorporates white or blue from the shirt, is easy to dimple, and is well-made to hold its shape for a long time... it's hard to find a good one. (As I'm writing this, I'm starting to feel conflicted about whether I should really sell it;). I only wore this tie on important days like presentations, so I've only worn it about 2-3 times, and it's in relatively good condition with no noticeable scratches or stains. With the increase in telework, I haven't had a chance to wear it in the past year, so I'm offering it for sale while it's still in good condition, hoping it will be appreciated by someone who likes it. Please understand that this is a used item that has been stored by a private individual, and that it may be compactly packaged for shipping.
