This is a bag for a one-year-old's celebration, specifically for the "Issho Mochi" (a tradition where a one-year-old carries a large mochi cake). This bag came with a celebration at Kisoji. Despite the fabric, it's quite sturdy. It doesn't have a gusset, but it's large enough to hold a large round mochi cake weighing about 2kg.
