The modern and tasteful design makes it perfect for casual, fashionable wear such as tsumugi or komon. It is an open-weave construction. Since it is not folded in half from the te-saki (hand end) to the tare-saki (hanging end), you can adjust the width of the front to your liking when tying it. The obi has a textured feel like tsumugi fabric. Since there is no obi core, it is very soft and easy to conform to the body.
