This is a small Bizen-yaki dish with a handle. It features the rustic, unglazed clay and natural kiln variations unique to yakishime pottery. The hand-molded handle is also a charming feature. This versatile piece can be used in various ways, such as a container for incense, a small tray, a small dish, or a side dish for sake, and is suitable for both tea ceremonies and everyday use. The bottom clearly shows the marks of the potter's wheel, reflecting the characteristic clay and firing techniques of Bizen-yaki. A wooden box and wrapping paper are included. (The box and wrapping paper show some wear and tear due to age.) While there is some evidence of age and use, there are no cracks or major chips, and the condition is generally good.
