I made a layered collar by hand. I made it to be worn over a T-shirt, and I also added an "emon-nuki" (a space at the back of the collar) to allow for dressing without a juban (undergarment). I think it would be cute paired with a cotton kimono. I used it once and washed it, but the red fabric has bled a bit. I bought all the fabric new specifically for this.
