The material is cypress. Cypress has a good scent and is soothing. The wood is flexible, strong, polished with use, and gentle on nature. The texture of the wood is superb. This item was created out of necessity, something I, and other Mercari users, would find useful. There's an old-fashioned post nearby, but the size of recent large mailboxes and their slots differ. The Lawson post also has the same size slot. This is why I created this. Please check the details for your region before purchasing. This is a product with only a 3.4 cm slit and is unpainted. The thickness of the board is about 12 mm. It doesn't bend flimsily like a thin ruler. It's sturdy, like an actual mailbox slot. You can check beforehand if packages can be crushed and pushed in. I don't think there are any commercially available package measurement tools with this thickness. I will use recycled materials for packaging.
