It resembles duck fabric, but doesn't feel as stiff, giving it a texture more like twill (the color in images 4 and later is closer to the actual product). There is wear and color fading from age, but no tears or damage to the hem. There is some color transfer from a belt used around the waist (see images 4 and 5). The hem is finished with a chain stitch.
