Liberty & Co., founded in 1875 by Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty. The roots of the long-established London department store lie in Liberty & Co. The original brand of the department store, "Liberty London," which features high-end products, uses the unique monogram pattern "IANTHE" for its bags and accessories collection. This unique pattern was created around 1900 by the famous French Art Nouveau designer R. Beauclair. Ianthe means "violet" or "small purple flower" in Greek, so it seems to be based on the motif of violets. The last photo is a reference to a Liberty Ianthe bag. (The bag is not included in the sale.) This series was produced by Masons for Liberty London in 1987, using Ianthe as a motif. The Art Nouveau curves and elegant colors are very lovely. *Although the bottom appears narrower due to perspective in the photos, it is straight from top to bottom, and the diameter does not change (photo 6). The Masons Liberty series of course includes tableware, but I feel that there are more items used as interior accents. As these items were sold in high-end department stores, they are very elegant and refined. You can display them or use them, and I think they can be used in various scenes. This item is a beautiful, near-mint condition with a glossy finish. The inside is also clean (photo 7). There are no cracks. There are no scratches, but there is a 1mm abrasion on the gold trim of the lid top (photo 11). It looks like the gold color has naturally faded, and it is about 1mm, so it is difficult to notice unless you look closely, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. In addition, please understand that there may be ink smudges, gold color transfer, very small black dots, and very slight scratches due to storage.
