Self-biasing capacitors use Sprague, Takman, and KOA resistors, among others. The output transformer is designed for 2.5kΩ on the primary side and is wired for 4-8Ω. Also, a characteristic of the 2A3 is that it can suppress hum noise to some extent even with AC heating, which is also attractive. Because it is a self-bias method, there is no need to use a tester to replace the vacuum tubes, which is also attractive. The hum balancer can be adjusted with a screwdriver by ear, without using a millivoltmeter. Please replace vacuum tubes (tube rolling) at your own risk.
