Kiyomatsu's Biography: Kiyomatsu (Shinichi Fujiwara) Born in Yahaba-cho, Iwate Prefecture in 1955. Joined Iwachu Co., Ltd. in 1995. Worked under the second and third generation Kiyomatsu. Certified as a Traditional Craftsman in 2011 (became the fourth-generation Kiyomatsu). This iron kettle is certified as a national traditional craft. This iron kettle is still manufactured by hand, one by one, using the traditional yakigata method. Excellent techniques are applied to every detail, including the handle, cast skin, and patterns. In 2012, the fourth-generation "Kiyomatsu" Shinichi Fujiwara was newly certified as a Traditional Craftsman. Currently, three people are involved in making the molds for Nanbu iron kettles, and they are working to resolve the backlog in delivery. Therefore, it is produced by three Traditional Craftsmen: the third-generation "Kiyomatsu," the fourth-generation "Kiyomatsu," and the third-generation "Kiyoshige" (from the Iwachu HP).
