HumanGear Tweed-Tone 1950s Aging Western Electric Braided Wire Set This is a modified/upgraded wire set from HumanGear, cut for Strat/Telecaster/Jazz Bass/Precision Bass, using 1950s WE wire. Recommended for those aiming for a vintage tone. These extremely rare wires are no longer available from HumanGear. The following is the manufacturer's description: It has a comfortable sound quality without sharp edges, created by aging since the 1950s. The mid-range is a bit stronger, and the high frequencies are mellow. You can utilize the sound quality aged for about 50 years. I used wires with the optimal wire diameter for guitar internals and speaker cables, and by braiding them in a Litz structure with the optimal number and spacing, I was able to absorb the vibration of the wires and transmit them over a wider bandwidth. This was the wiring material I envisioned. This was able to improve the sustain of the guitar and provide a new guitar sound, such as increasing the resolution. However, there are also companies that sell products as if they have the same sound quality using only the same materials, and in many cases, they are not only indifferent to the changes in sound quality caused by the wire diameter and the coating, but also seem to have no experience or research on the sound quality of braiding. The fact that it is Western Electric wire alone does not achieve the goal. If you do not clearly understand and experience the values that should be compatible with the wire diameter, you will end up selling products that impair the tone of the guitar and amplifier. My WE wires are hand-braided in a Litz structure and have the optimal wire diameter, number of wires, and Litz spacing. Please understand that the sound quality is different from those that are simply cut and sold. All newly released products have the same violin sound as before, with lyrical overtones and clear bass. And the mid-range is a little stronger than the previous products. However, please do not forget that there is a limit to the raw materials of the products.
