It shows some signs of use, but is generally in good condition. The gold plating is also well-preserved. This model is similar to a 1-1/4C Bach mouthpiece, and based on the pitch center theory, it has a thicker throat and a short shank. High notes don't waver and it allows for a very open sound. The Tradition Plus is a hidden gem, and after trying many Monette models, I think it's the most balanced. It has more brilliance than the Unity and the sound feels more refined. (This is just my personal opinion, though.) Thanks to its more traditional shape than the Classic model, I get good feedback on my own sound, making it very easy to monitor. It has a comfortable weight, without feeling stuffy, and works well for any genre. While it has a thick, warm tone similar to the well-regarded Mount Vernon Bach, the open feel in the high register gives it a modern impression. I am selling it because I have settled on the Tradition Plus 3.
