Aria Pro II ES-700 vintage guitar! Based on the Aria ES model number and features like the vibrato tailpiece, I believe it's from 1978. The vibrato tailpiece was removed in 1979, so this is a vintage guitar from 48 years ago. Made by a Japanese manufacturer at the time, it's a very well-made guitar with a lot of attention to detail. Original PU (AL-7) Maple center block Shielded control pots Fret edge binding String height at the 12th fret is 2mm for the 1st string and 2.2mm for the 6th string, with no dead spots (though this can depend on playing style). Vibrato tailpiece Block inlays Fingerboard made with good quality wood As you can see, the binding shows its age. The entire binding has a yellowed finish. The degree of yellowing suggests it might be lacquer. The binding has shrunk over time, and the surface is lower than the body sides, creating steps throughout. There are areas where the binding is raised, such as the inside of the cutaway and the waist. The binding has shrunk, but there are no chips or breaks. In fact, the vintage feel is enhanced by this binding. Please understand that this is a 48-year-old vintage guitar. This is a common condition for this model. It has a unique look. Otherwise, it's been well-polished and is gleaming. There are some scratches, but considering its age, the condition is quite good. The neck is straight, the truss rod has been greased and works smoothly. The frets show very little wear, with 70% to 80% remaining. The sound of this guitar will make you smile the moment you play it. There is a slight scratchiness in both tone controls. However, it has been polished to a shine and maintained.
