This is a winter coat made of wool. This is the first time I've opened the tat paper and am listing it. It's unused, but it's being sold due to a wardrobe clear-out, so there's a reason for the sale. No stains, odors, or tears. Please note that the matching obi (sash) is not included; please prepare one separately. Tanzen (a type of padded kimono) seems to have been worn over a yukata after a bath in the Edo period. Those who wear kimono regularly can also use it as loungewear. The lining uses a warm, felt-like fabric (blue) and a fabric similar to a nagajuban (long under-kimono) is used on the shoulders for better slip. There is a reinforcing patch (chikara-nuno) to prevent fabric damage at the sleeve attachment and the seat. The collar is thick and plump. Some parts are machine-sewn for secure fastening, and hand-sewing is used in areas that are difficult for a machine due to the thickness. There is no cotton padding.
