Artist: Tadao Matsuda (1956-) Naruko Onsen, Miyagi Prefecture. Naruko style. Purchased from Matsuda Kobo in Naruko around 2002-2003. His mentors were his grandfather, the artist Hatsumi, and his father, the artist Mitsuo, carrying on the tradition. I believe this work is Hatsumi-type. It's a lovely piece with a charming face and a beautiful chrysanthemum pattern on a yellow body. Size: Height approx. 21cm, Body base diameter approx. 5cm, Head diameter approx. 6cm I believe there is little noticeable fading, dullness, stains, or sun damage. There is a small, dot-like stain on the body (photo 7). Please check the photos.
